When the g/f gets home from work tonight I'll pull the 50A that I didn't get to yesterday.

The other thing that comes to mind is she locked her keys in her car the other day & had AAA come open it (via the driver's side door). It's possible they knocked something loose inside, but the windows were working after they were done.

Now there is an important piece to the puzzle. ;) I would remove the door panel and check the wiring to the switches.

Yup. It's most likely a ground, as was mentioned before. I had the same problem with my car just a few weeks ago, although not because of someone having to break into the car....the ground just came loose.

However, sarcasm aside; look at getting a spare key for all vehicles, not just hers and spot welding it inside a wheel/hubcap.
Spot welding prevents rattleand it is not normal for a theif to go looking around for hidden key boxes.

She's only had this car a few months, she hadn't gotten around to getting copies made. After AAA got it unlocked she went & had 4 copies made. I think everyone within a 5 block radius has a key to her car now.

If it happens again I or someone else can bail her out.
