YACT: Power antenna on my car just bent, got a question

I have a 94 Intrepid ES, with a power antenna as stated above. It bent when I went to the carwash and the guy usually will tell me they aren't liable for it. Me, not being a jerk, decided to see if I should get a new one myself and if it is hard to install. I have no experience besides with regular antennas. It bent to the point where it sticks towards behind my car, and it only bent at the very joint of the car and itself. I don't want to bend it back without any consultations first. What do you think I should do?

See if you can bend it back. If you cant, or it breaks, call dodge, ask for the parts department, and say 'i need an antenna for a 94 intrepid"

Not antenna. You want to ask for an antenna mast which is the part that bent. A new antenna would include the whole motor/reel assembly which would prolly cost upwards of $150. The mast should be about $30.

I own a car with a power antenna... (mazda 626), common problem is the antenna gets jammed... happens to mine... motor grinds on and on for about 30 seconds after I take the keys out of the ignition... never makes it all the way down... never makes it all the way up either. I'm planning on replacing it with a non-motorized antenna this summer when I get a chance.... more reliable that way.

You will not be able to bend it back straight with out breaking it the whole way off. If some how you manage to bend it back, it prolly won't go up and down any more. NutBucket is right, get a mast, and don't go to the dealer, they'll charge you about 50% more for it than you will at like Auto Zone or Advanced Auto Parts.

They will tell you how to replace the mast.

Happens. I only bought one after some @sswipe snapped mine into 3 pieces at a concert. Don't have to worry about that anymore.
