Wasnt the Pace Cars only 396's ?

No....the Pace cars that actually paced the Race were 396's. The ones you bought at the dealer came as 350's with an option for 396. Mine came as a 350. The Z11 code signifies a convertible while the Z10 code signifies a coupe.

EDIT: here is the first example I could come up with....I'm trying to find better documentation (by the way...this is NOT my car) PACE CAR

MUCH better source and info

Nice Links :)....The reason I asked about the 396 was because I have an old HodRod mag and it shows the rebuilding a big block camaro that a bunch of race drivers had autographed

As you can tell by my previous cars I've owned, I'm a Ford man...but I give credit where credit is due and you GOTTA respect a BBC motor

1980 VW Rabbit (1991- 1994)
1980 VW Vanagon (1994 - 1995)
1984 Toyota Corolla (1996 - 1997)
1987 Ford Escort (1997- 1999)
1989 Honda Civic (1999-2003)
1994 Honda Civic (2003 - 2005)
2001 VW Golf 1.8T (2004 - present)

My favorites are the Golf, the 89 Civic, and the Rabbit, in that order. The Escort was by far the worst car I've owned.

No problem....thanks for 'credit' :).

I'm not one of those 'crap on ford' people. In fact...my Dad just bought a 2004 Mustang Cobra SVT last week (screaming yellow hardtop) and it's already in the paint shop for some black deckstripes.

Heres some better pics of my cars:

1970 & 1966 Chevelles
1969 Camaro Pace Car Convertible Z11

1. '85+ plymouth something (I forgot)
2. '91 Plymouth Laser RS (used)
3. '03 Mazda 6s (bought new)
4. ...
5. Profit!

I'm 24.

Would've kept #2 except the transmission repair would've cost the value of the car. I've never wrecked (knock on wood). Maybe the next one will be a TL.

yeah....he's looking at doing a full exhaust change. We're new to ford performance stuff so we're checking into all the options. He's trying to find someone who can make some custom bullit wheels in the 17x9 size (largest we've seen is 17x8). We were told that the 17x8's will not clear the calipers/rotor assembly.

Heres a place that can do widening: WELDCRAFT WHEELS

Great guys to deal with, and they do a great job...Here a pic of my buddys '96 Cobra wheels they widend 2 inches

...as a note....I have 17x8 (stock) Bullits on my '91 coupe now and I did a '01 Cobra brake setup on it and the Bullits fit fine...I'm not to sure if they changed the calipter in '03-'04 to compensate for the more power.

If you need any help man, shoot me a PM

I know this is a repost from a while ago, but I'd like a new thread about it. I'm 22 years old, here is the list of cars I've had since I was 16, in order of getting them:
You mean "owned" as in purchased and held the title for, correct?

That is, gifts obviously wouldn't count...

Anything counts as long as you were the primary owner/driver. If your 16 and your dad gives you an H2, that counts. If your dad owns a 'vette and lets you take it out on dates, then it doesn't count.
Wonderful

First 2 were my dad's that I used from high school to college. The Audi was the first car I bought myself after college, I am currently paying off the Z and just started a 3 year lease on the MDX. I'm 28 and yes, I like having new cars to play with!
