i heard something similar in oregon, if you're not over 18 you can't pump gas or something, maybe you have to be licenced.....maybe i heard wrong :Q

No self-serve in Oregon. Pisses me off, I hate to wait for the damned attendent. Sometimes I get tired of waiting and start to do it myself...guaranteed way to get attention right away...the station can get massive fines if they are caught letting a customer touch the pumps. The whole thing is stupid.

the gas station i like (because of their gas only) near my house is full serve.. sometimes i go to that one.. sometimes i hit the self serve on the other end of town.

typically its just more expensive gas. for example, gas here costs $1.94/gal for regular. If I were to get it Full Serve, it would cost me about $2.29/gal. The extra cost covers them checking oil/washer fluid, tire pressure, and window squeegee

I'll save my money. Gas here was $1.39 I believe.

You are a sissy if you are too afriad to do what YOU want - but instead have to worry about what other people may think. I can just imagine it now. You drive up to your gas station and get the full service. Then someone walks by that you might know and you scream and squeal like a little girl since you were seen at the full service section of a gas station. THAT is a sissy.

A real man will either:
1) Get the full service since he wants to, or
2) Get the self service since he wants to.
