I got a "new" (to me) vacuum advance dizzy for my bus to replace the mechanical 009 that's in there now. Because I haven't had a chance to work on it (been sick, family commitments, etc) it's been on my patio looking forlorn. Dremel tool was still out from some case work I did, so while outside smoking one day I decided I'd polish it up. While I was at it, I polished the vacuum canister, clips, and condenser too.
Everything polished silver looked good, but not spectacular. I clearcoated the dizzy body so it wouldn't turn blah-gray again, and then squirted some blue Metalcast paint on the vacuum can and condenser.
Yeah, it looks a little bit rice, but it's an old VW bus, so nobody can accuse me of rice. Sauerkraut maybe, but not rice.
BTW: The sock was for buffing it with rubbing compound after the Dremel work was done.
