YACT - plastic on my exhaust

I noticed somethng underr may car and when I got down to see what it was it turned out to be a clear plastic sheet that had adhered itself to my exhaust. Can I just leave it there and have it melt off or is that a fire hazard?

I tried, but the ground effects on my car make it hard to reach. That and I got filthy pulling off what I could... 🙁
