Edit: although the upcoming Subaru-based 9-2X will be AWD, and they will have an Envoy-based SUV that will presumably be AWD as well.

I heard saab isnt so good after the first year. In fact, i think a person on edmunds states that the car broke down during a test drive! As a person with GM dollars, Id like to know if this car will last, because Id be up for one.
I totally agree on the 6 cylinder part. It is a sweet looking car, but Id rather have the BMW.
That's not a very good shot... there seems to be something obstructing the view.Originally posted by: BDawg

My SAAB is 4 now, with no major problems. In fact, the only problems have been burnt out lights.
The reason they put in a turbo 4 instead of a 6 is to get the immediate torque at low RPMs.
FYI, here's my SAAB 9-5.

Pathetic and embarrasing are my words for it. It's a shame to put the SAAB name (associated with being innovative and hi-tech) on a stone-age technology body-on-frame car. Just sad.
Sure enough GM helped SAAB survive as a brand but we do not need another brand of Buick/Chevy/Olds/Pontiac. If possible GM should stay the he11 out of SAAB.
