YACT: Performance Parts

Where could I go to find some performance parts for a 2000 GMC Jimmy? I'm mainly looking for a cold air intake, suspension and new tires. For tires, I would like to have something bigger than the 205/75SR15s that came stock on it. What would you suggest for light offroading? I don't want anything too big, nor too small.

The best way is to find a forum for GMC owners. I'm not sure where it is, but I'm pretty sure it exists out there. From there, you'll be able to ask people who own Jimmys and are modders/enthusiasts, and they should not only be able to direct you to where to find such parts, but also which ones are the best for your car. I would also check GMPP (General Motors Performance Parts).

GMPP has rebranded Koni struts for my Grand Prix that work really well.

You will want to go right to a forum for trucks like www.pickuptruck.com and ask what the best kit for that vehicle is then.

Lifts are not a small upgrade, and can involve driveline work. Some brands also do better jobs for different models. From what I hear the Rancho is a wonderful kit compared to the Trailmaster on the late model GM's... just an example of things to look for.
