My 2001 Nissan Maxima SE (20th AE) exhibits some symptoms of a couple of TSBs put out by Nissan.

TSBs from AllData
00-088A MAY 02 Brakes - Vibration/Judder
01-054 AUG 01 Window Glass (Front Door) - Squeak/Squeal Noise
00-039A DEC 00 A/T - 1st to 2nd & 2rd to 3rd Gear Slippage (not so sure about this one, it's done it a couple of times but I tested it out this morning and all worked fine)

Since I've got 51K on the car I think the only thing that might be covered under warranty is the tranny work. The brakes, obviously, HAVE to be fixed (the TSB said it was due to uneven rotors) and the window just pisses me off (though I haven't been able to find the actual TSB to read).

A couple of questions then:
1. Anyone know of any decent Nissan dealers or Specialists in the Orlando, FL area?
2. Anyone know how much it costs to turn-out the rotors as opposed to replacing them?
3. I also don't know if the car has been taken in yet for this recall work. Is there anyway I can find out without visiting a dealer?

02-064 JUN 02 Recall - Transverse Link Replacement

Thanks for any help.

Goto maxima.org
They have a forum section there too.
Best to ask the people there as they would be able to answer your question better.

Brake judder thing happened to my maxima too, but mine was a result of my overzealous park braking.

Good luck

1) Can't help you

2)Turning rotors cost $10 apiece, new aftermarket rotors cost $22 apiece

3)No, you must go to the dealer to find out
