geno you seem to be the more memorable turbo dodge nut, I get no love from the crowd 😀 😉

I just got back home....nothing better than fall and the dropping temperatures at night to make a turbo car a little more fun!

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :|:|

This is OFF TOPIC on a COMPUTER forum. This is where car topics belong.

It's bad enough News and Politics was already seperated.

You're telling me!! The VNT spools up so fast in cold weather, 15psi comes up in the blink of an eye with this cool weather 😀

THIS IS FREAKIN WEAK! I hate Dodge for doing this........its like those facking ricer boys that put a 200hp engine in a CRX and can take a stock 300zx just because they drive a can!

i will say, those numbers are very impressive--- and i have witnessed up close that they really are very fast cars--

however, i really want to see how these cars hold up after a year of use. Dodge (and especially neons-- not this car has much in common with a stock neon) haven't exactly been known for thier reliability in cars. Stack that on top of a very stressed to the limits, forced induction engine--- thats probably going to be driven very hard--- It just sounds like the perfect recipe for many visits to the shop and high repair bills down the road. Hopefully i'm wrong though.

at least they gave it a little bit of an edge (look-wise) over a standard neon. And it really isnt that ugly...... (compared to a pontiac aztek.)

I'm amazed, an STi with 300HP to start with, plus a FULL exhaust, modded ecu, clutch can't walk away from a SRT with nothing but a Modded ECU? I can't judge everything from one video, but I find that pretty bad for the STi 😉

sounds like a bad driver to me-- the impreza should have rocked the dodge.

Rallispec, they've been doing turbo 2.4 motors for YEARS down in Mexico, this is a tried and true drivetrain, tranny is nice and beefy as well. Now, as for the rest of the car, things like the alternator, electronics, etc...that's all run of the mill Chrysler stuff, that's what I'd be concerned about

i wish that could comfort me some.... If i were considering one of these however-- i think i'd wait a year for them to prove themselves in this car..... Thats just me remember all the people i've known with serious Neon related problems htough.

Anyhow--- does anyone know what kind of insurance rates these get? I got pretty lucky with my specV-- my rates didnt go up at all from what they were with my other sentra. The srt4 kind of falls into a different class though.

i love it when ppl say

"but its still a neon" "its still a ford" ..

well.. you are still a troll/NEF .

those numbers are impressive to say the least, I wonder how long their warranties are?

are these neon engines sturdy?

The new Neons, and Dodge in general are good cars with good warranty....all the old stories just propagate forever with people posting blindly. Same thing with Ford, Saturn, and GM...it used to be Subaru and Mits. to but now you got the EVO and WRX

A lot of Dodge assembly is the same as Mits. but whatever.

Most car reviewers who have been hard on Dodge products in the past have nothing but praise for the SRT4 and even the regular Neon. If anyone test drives one they would see for themselves.

Sure it's a smaller car, and sure it's not got titanium bezels and stainless trim...but at $20k it's not supposed to.

You hear people saying why'd you buy that when the 350Z or G35 is out, all the while they are driving a 1986 POS econobox........

A $35k car is a whole different world than a $20k one....a $25k car is a whole different ballpark, and the truth of the matter is the average car is not even $15k.
