Mitsubishi is hoping that the Evo IX will revive its flagging fortunes in the USA in particular, taking on the popular Subaru Impreza WRX

I'm sorry, but a low volume seller that decks in over $30,000 is NOT going to bring DSM out of the financial abyss it's in.

my thoughts exactly. they need to improve on the lancer, the SUV's and perhaps the galant to get back into the game.

but if i have to choose between a WRX Sti and this Evo, i'd gladly take an Evo... just because it's rare and it has those cool shark fins =)

looks good, they should lose the gay altezzas... those were are so old now, and them coming on cars makes me sick.

Such a fun car though

I think it looks ugly to be honest. The spoiler in the back is just plain retarded. And other than that I can't tell the difference between it and almost every other Japanese car. 😛

Still I don't have any room to be complaining with the car I drive.

surprisingly that giant spoiler is actually fully functional and adjustable... it's just what i've read from the past Evo's.

what car do you drive? can't be worse than the car that im anticipating to buy...

94' Buick Regal 😛

It's not too bad, real comfy ride. But it's a little too granny for a hardcore mofo like me though. It is a huge step up from my 91' Geo Prizm (that went through 4 door handles in the 1.5 years I owned it) that I just got rim of.

i'll be happy if my uncle will give me his 93' lumina.. i think it's a 3.1 hopefully, but with a 3-speed auto and the speedo goes to 85!

it certainly beats my daily 1-hour trek on the subway in the opposite direction to the carpool though! (with car it might take 45 minutes to work and now it takes me 2 hours)

top that =)

AMEN! Altima has them, acura, lexus- they look like sh!t.

What gonna happen though in 3 years when the 17psi of boost fvcks up your engine, and Mitsu is nowhere to be found? Its a kids car, so expect the current Evo to be around 17k in 2-3 years, since something newer wil come out.

common problem on Corollas/Prizm of that year. Our 91 Corolla only went thru one luckily enough.

Yeah, it got to be somewhat of a nuisance. We weren't being rough with it at all, those lil things just kept popping off. At one point I only had one door handle for the outside.
