YACT - Need Used Car

I am in the market for a used car in good condition. I have a budget lets say between 5-10 grand, maybe a tiny bit more.
I was looking at some mazdas and lexuses. Any specific models any good? years? Any suggestions would be great, Thanks!

oh yea...what i am looking for...
2 or 4 door doesent matter (standard sedan or coupe)
decent gas mileage
not a junker(must look halfway decent)
reliable
a little bit of power would be nice (not necesary though)

i was in the same situation last year and went with a 98 honda prelude. unfortunately i found out about the tranny problems after i bought it but that has been the only real problem.

Maximas are nice if you drive like granny. 1/2 throttle produces insane torque steer. Folks who haven't driven them will deny this I am sure.
