YACT: Need new tires

Chaotic42

Lifer
The last tires that I bought sucked. They were BF Goodrich and they have horrible wet traction.

I need tires that meet the following requirements:

-Size 195/65-14 to fit my 1995 Mazda 626
-Excellent wet traction
-Rated up to at least 100 mph
-No snow ability is needed
-No white walls

If I order these off of the internet, can I just take them to a repair shop and get them to put them on? I appreciate any help that you all can give.

Before ordering online print out the online rates and go into local shops, I've found they generally will match tirerack.com and it works out pretty well.

I buy from tirerack.com. They will deliver them to anyplace you choose to mount/balance them, or to an installer they recommend if you don't know any. Good prices and quick delivery.

fatwallet 3% cash back -> tirerack.com -> call tire places and get best out the door price -> price match at the place you like the best

You can order off the internet and take to a tire shop to install; they will charge you for the labor to do so. However, some tire shops will match prices even off the internet (or they'll come down enough to make it worth your while to not bother ordering them). Any number of brands should have a decent tire for your car.
