no, out the door + TTL separately. I convinced him to lower his price to 26.3K.

TSX by far. I have a 04 Accord, no navi - the TSX just has a better feel, passenger or driver. (Friend owns one) I don't regret buying my Accord since when I bought it, I was working part time making beans, but given a choice now I would have gone for the Acura hands down.

It?s misleading to say the dealer offered $26,300 ?out the door? when that doesn?t even include TTL. Out the door is your price after ALL applicable fees hence the term. That said, you?ll be paying roughly $28,300 out the door. Hey, if you?re able to afford it, then go for it. Otherwise, go for the accord w/ nav ? it?s and excellent choice.

You may want to do a side-by-side comparison of all the specs on Edmunds.com to really see what makes the TSX that much more expensive. IMO the new rims on the ?06 TSX are ?bleh?.

The newer Accords are more sporty, have better interiors and are more fun to drive than previous ones. At least according to reviews. So test drive the 06 Accord and 06 TSX or 05 TSX and get whatever feels better.

A manual in a V6 Accord would be awesome. You would be able to literally outrun most cars on the road.

What are you talking about? 03-06 Accords are all 7G Accords. 98-02 are 6G. I have the same model, minus the redesigned rear (LED taillights) and slightly different front, depending on 2 vs 4 door.

I didn't get that either.. An '06 Accord can't be much different from an '03 to '05 one.. Though I do agree the 6speed V6 kicks ass. Wish I bought one instead of the I4.. but I still like mine.

Yea I do too. :( I still kick myself. The gas mileage they get vs our I4's is almost negligible from the guys over at V6P. Maybe a gallon or two off in real world driving. AFAIK, all other suspension/etc components remain the same, same V-rated tires, etc.

In my case, I don't think it is worth the extra $2000 as I would only need the power when getting on the highway. the 4 cyl did just fine passing other cars.

get the TSX. We drove both and we regret getting the accord. I absoleutly HATE IT! So boring to drive. The TSX at least felt more fun to drive and the build quality was nicer.

also I wouldn't want a v6 6spd. The damn tires suck bad enough as it is on a 4 banger. Add almost 100 more hp to the game and its not gonna be any better. Unfortunatly the tires last forever to so there's no point in getting better ones yet.

I moderate an RL forum on (www.acurazine.com), but fwiw, the TSX is a great car, but the power is a bit lacking for the $$$. However, if power isn't important to you (obvious as you're considering the Accord 4-cyl), then the TSX should be fine. It is a bit more luxurious compared to the Accord, and tends to offer better handling.

It really depends on how important the Navi is to you; if the Navi isn't important, I would look toward a moderately equipped V6 Accord if you wish to stay w/Honda.

Yeah, that's another aspect that detered me from the TSX... A bit overpriced for a 4 banger... Although the interior is top notch, the Accord EX-L Navi is pretty nice too. Honda/Acura has some of the best navi systems out of all the auto makers.

TSX only if you get it with the manual.

Actually the suspension between I4 and V6 are different, they have different part numbers. The V6 stuff needs to hold up a heavier nose and such.

Also, 06+ vs 03-05 is also supposed to have different suspension, the part numbers are also different between those two for both V6 and I4.

I've actually never driven an 03-05 V6, but the i4s are supposed to handle better, less nose heavy plowing and such. I did drive an 06 v6 and it does handle nice, but it was a new car with 17" wheels vs my beat up i4 03 with 70K miles and squishy ass 15" wheels.

btw, my car is now within ~10 ft-lbs at the wheels to a 03 V6 accord, by the same dyno. And sacrifices nothing in gas mileage. :p

LX for LX the V6 is still ~4K more over I4. I think I'm 1 or 2 bolt ons away from being as fast as a V6. Skunk2 just released cams for K24 accords and supposedly it adds 15 HP, I'm gonna try to get some for $500. So for ~1K I'll be about as fast as the V6. All the effort was a pain in the ass though. :p

the suspension stock for 03-05 i4s is not the best but it can be substantially improved easily if you are hands on. The 20mm rear sway bar from the 6 speed TL fits the car ($50), as does the front strut tower from the 6 speed accord ($100). Each is about a half hour installation.

If you don't already have an EX, bigger wheels over the 15" steel wheels also improves handling.

With only rear sway and 16" EX wheels, the handling is very good for a car of this size. But still not as good as a stock civic, lol.
