I've come to the conclusion that my current car won't last past the end of the night (thank god) and I've been looking at buying a truck so that I could use it when I, 1) go down to Florida at the end of the year for school and 2) would be nice to use at my new job in 18 months when I go into motorcycle repair.
I've found 2 that suit my needs (8 ft bed, automatic, 6 cylinder min.) and I'm having a hard time choosing between the 2.
There's the Chevy and the Ford.
I like the Ford styling, but I can't ignore the Chevy's lack of mileage. However, I don't know if the Chevy's leaf springs would be enough to hold my bike (which weighs 600+) plus my fat ass. The Chevy also has that damn plastic wrap-around foor mat that they use in the back seat of police crusiers.
I was also trying to keep the price around $8k, but if I have to I can save up for another couple of months to make a larger down payment. Opinions, advice, truths, lies, insults are welcome...
