Hmm, the stock cam usually runs out of steam around 5K. Not to mention the heads don't flow that well stock either - they come with small valves, which means more low end torque. When you want to move something that heavy to 60mph a second quicker you're going to need a LOT more hp. Do some head work and change the cam and I'll believe it...

And I believe you meant to say you installed bigger injectors, not added extra ones.

true about the injectors. But i have a 99 GMC that has the same engine and it actually shifts at 5500 RPM stock. Which is odd.

So Unless Gmc accidently put a sporty camshaft in 99 GMC truck im not beliving you on that. sorry
The supercharger chip that came with the supercharger changed the Shift point to 5000 RPM. YOu can buy an ugrade that will make it shift at higher point.

These sidestep pickups are light, almost the whole bed is fiber glass material. The truck has a 450 HP in it so its got 200 HP jump from a the 250 HP stock.

I own a stock i know what it shifts at.

On the 0-60 i rounded it down its 0-60 in 6.7 seconds. Which iMHO is still way fast for a 4wd pickup truck. Im happy with it so none of your fetching posts are going to make me hate my car. I posting isnt going to make me think anymore higher of you because you come in with bull Shi info and try to tell me what my cars can and cant do. I drive them i know what they are capable off.

Do you own GMC 5.3 vortec engine?

I really didn't want to type this, but I will anyway. Not only do your typing skills suck, but you are the one "bullshido"ing about your car/truck. Anyone in their right mind wouldn't round 6.7 down to 6. In school don't they teach you to round up at .5? I'm glad you like your truck, it looks nice, but if you're going to show off, at least do it properly.

Changing the shift by 500 rpm will not take a second off the 0-60. A porsche turbo is a much lighter car, has 400+ hp, and shifting 500 later in the power band will not improve the time by a second. And yes, I've driven them. I highly doubt a pickup truck, which weighs a thousand lbs more, with less horsepower (turbo boost increased or not) will make a damned bit of difference. Don't kid yourself.

And as someone else already pointed out, if you're going to say you did certian things to your car, try and make sense. Having horrible typing skills doesn't mean you use different words for things... it just means you can't spell and might be incoherent cause you type faster than you're thinking.

There is a difference between redlining 500 rpm higher and having a power curve that high. If you've ever dynoed your truck, you'll know what I mean. Your HP curve probably peaks at 4500 or 5000 and then drops like a rock from there. As a matter of fact, I guarantee it. A truck has no use for HP up that high, and they grind the cams accordingly.

And no I don't own a GMC 5.3 vortec engine, but I do drive a GMC 6.0 vortec in a GMC C3 1500 every day. What of it?

Dude if you extended that racing stripe on to the roof that could shave another 1/2 sec off your 0-60 time

Well I think the pickup front-end is "ok", but the front end on the vans is now ugly as @$$! I think the rest of the pickup truck styling has to catch up with the new front end.

Funny thread here, I actually think your truck looks super sharp but it would be better without the strip and ss lettering.
