The only way the slave cylinder could affect the clutch slippage would be for it to be stuck forward or binding. This is unlikely to do this since it is hydraulic. Most common symptoms for a bad slave cylinder is the inability to disengage the clutch, i.e. shifting into gear or start the vehicle out of gear. I would be looking for a worn or damaged pressure plate, which is typical of the concern you have expressed.Originally posted by: bigredguy
So i did a quick test today to hopefully gain a little more insight into what might be wrong. It seems that i now have a lot more grab in the clutch which makes me think (with what little car intelligence i have) it's not the clutch itself but hopefully the fudged slave cylinder. Any insight you guys might have will extremely helpful. Thanks in advance.
