YACT: My car alarm keeps going off at random times..

It's an aftermarket Prestige one, and my car alarm when on just goes off randomly. It doesn't seem to be caused by anything at all, like cars blowing by with loud exhausts, it just sporadically goes off.

Anyone know what could cause this?

Mine does that if I dont start the car after a week or two. Detecting a voltage drop. Are any of your interior lights on?

Nah. Can't think of anything draining the battery..

And I drive the car everyday.

mabey someone is trying to steal it at random times?

Generally speaking, a car alarm that is going off randomly is due to a faulty sensor. Not knowing what sensors you have installed, I'll just assume a shock sensor and a tap into the door pins. The shock sensor may be the problem, but it is most likely the door pins. It could be the pins itself or a bad/loose connection. Take it back where you got it installed and have them check the wiring.
