This is a really nice looking car. It is alittle underpowered but it perfect for everyday driving. It rides really well for having 18 and 19" wheels with runflat tires. You can really feel the German engineering within it. Everything feels very solid and looks good.

I'm sorry. :p

Sorry.. that's not meant to be a thread crap at all, just a run of the mill sarcastic comment.

Edit: Gah! I don't like the rear end.. AT ALL.

Nice car!

I don't think I would buy one myself (maybe if it was a bit cheaper), but that doesn't mean its not a nice car!

A GTO on the other hand... yum.

He works indirectly for GM and was looking at the GTO, but this was almost $7,000 cheaper.

I think the rear looks hot. I saw one of these in person about a week ago and they are very nice looking. What kind of drivetrain in that thing?

A low one. 215 horsepower means that many cars on the road will smoke it in a straightline, including a multitude of less expensive family sedans.

Still, it is a VERY nice looking car. Just too bad it's so slow.

It's a front engine RWD.

Ok...? As if that is even a competitor of the Crossfire? Thats like saying, "I am either going to buy a Ferrari, or an F350 dually."

Its not exactly slow
0-60 in 6.5 seconds
1/4 mile in 14.8
Just isn't extremly fast. It does handle extremely well though.

Why did he get an auto?

forgot to say sweet looking car :)

My father bought this car and its real nice. Might not be super fast but it rides really well. Although im not car enthuiast at all. Even being 6'5" and pretty big im able to drive it. My only complaint with it is the HUGE Blind spots you can't see easily out of the back.

It definitly takes getting used to the look of the car.

Why did he get an auto?

for that price and if you want handling, i'd go with an rx-8.

Yea.. I was going to say, there isn't really anything wrong with "only" 215hp, that's still more than most cars on the road.

Although, it does seem weak for a V6.. at least compared to say, the Maxima. Although, the VQ is a bit bigger at 3.5L.

Chrysler Crossfire (6M) 6.7 14.74 @ 93.99 113 braking 0.87g 66.0 slalom 26.31 @ 0.65

Mazda RX-8 (6M) 6.5 14.81 @ 93.52 115 braking 0.84g 67.0 slalom 26.64 @ 0.70

Pretty much the same only the rx-8 is fugly :).

the 99 maxima's had 3.0's and they made 225 hp or so i think.
