YACT: Missing some stuff...

1992 Toyota Pickup EFI V6

My car has 2 fuse boxes. One under the hood and one inside the cab.

I just now noticed the one inside the cab and decided to make sure everything in there was fine. Well everything matched up and those fuses were fine, but im missing 2. Not only am i missing 2, it is missing the two slots that the fuses would go in.

Both of the fuses are very important, but only one would appear to be critical to operation.

The fuses missing are the EFI-IG fuse (I assume that is EFI Ignition) and the Rear ABS fuse. Apparently there are such cars that have only rear ABS instead of front and rear, my car is one of them.

These fuses simply aren't there, so i thought it may just be a different model of car. But EFI-IG sounds somewhat critical to the operation of my car.

What do you guys think?

The fuse box is probably generic to the model, and other models may have options your car doesn't have, so the openings are there, but not wired in...Pretty normal.

Thats the problem. THe openings aren't there, but on the cover they are labeled there (The ones not for my model are X'd out on the label). Not only that isn't EFI-IG something that generally cant be left out?

If there's a label but no slot for the fuse, it isn't supposed to be there. Car works as its supposed to right? Move on 🙂

I guess you are right.

Can someone explain to me what in the world EFI-IG is then? And why in the world a manf would equip ABS only on the rear brakes?

Hmm well depending on what language that is i think the first line should probably read "If car == runningFine" 😉

Rears will lock before fronts, especially on a pickup truck.

Rears will lock before fronts, especially on a pickup truck.

Because there is less weight in the back?

Since this thread is here, i might as well ask you guys another question. What regulates Oil Pressure? I know it is supposed to go up as you let the engine rev, but only going to 3K RPM the Oil Pressure gauge jumps way way up. Everything is running fine (or seems to be) im just curious as to what that is.
