...$10,000 - My uncle has it and hardly ever drives it, so I spoke to him last night about maybe buying it off of him. I dunno if that's a good price or not....haven't done too much research on the car just yet.

It's pearl white w/ tan leather interior. Said it used to be a Lexus Dealership car, then was sold to a couple who hardly drove it, and they sold it to him...I'm debating on whether or not I should try to push him to sell it to me, or if I should just stick with my '92 Lude?

Thx... :)

I would stick it out with your 92 Lude because add another $6k and you can buy a BRAND NEW Honda Accord LX (assuming you find a loss leader ad).

How reliable has your 92 Lude been so far?

check Edmund's True Market Value...10k is dealer retail for the car you describe. Of course, I'm gonna say stick with the Prelude because it's cheaper and more fun to drive.

need some wheels on the Lude then you  ES300 is just a Camry and a total 180 degrees from a Lude. nice car though

Lexus depreciates pretty slowly, so they're not a superb value on the used market. For instance, you could get a newer '97 Infiniti I30 which is a direct competitor to the ES300 for about the same money.

Still, 72K miles on a '95 is great. If it's truly mint it's not a bad deal.

Take 3 grand and get a H22 for the 'lude. Then you'll forget all about the ES300. And don't forget wheels like someone already mentioned;)

Probably gonna stick with the 'Lude since I wanna get an apartment hopefully after Christmas, but more likely after graduation in May...

The Lude's been as good to me as I am to it, so as long as I keep up with scheduled maintenance etc then she's all good~ :)

Thx for the input! :D

I've driven a 96 ES300 and a 91 LS400, the LS400 is more fun and more powerful, but more of a gas hog since it's a V8. The ES300 is boring as hell to drive, it's when I drive that car that I truly believe my friends saying "lexus's are for old people." As far as reliability of course, a Lexus is as good as anything else you'll find.
