YACT: Mechanical Whirring sound...

What does it mean when a Toyta Camry starts making a mechanical whirring sound (sounds kinda like those little remote control cars when they accelerate) when you accelerate or turn the steering wheel?

When you turn the wheel - whirring noise/slight vibration thru wheel usually means power steering fluid is low, or your PS pump is on the way out. Or, you have a PS fluid leak, causing the fluid to be low.
