Some of you might know that I restore classic muscle cars. I recently took on a major project of restoring a 1966 Dodge Charger 383 4 speed that someone else took apart. The car has only twenty thousand miles on it and overall in good shape. The car is missing it?s original engine but I was able to find a 1969 383 High Output engine to replace it. The interior is ripe with mildew and some of the carpet is damaged because of it. I thought I would post some pictures of the car before I started working on it. I don?t have any recent photos right now, but plan on taking some this weekend.

Whole Car
Interior minus seats
Replacement engine

BTW, I finally found my 1970 Torino GT Convertible. :D

MOPAR!!!! I love you, man. In a non-biblical, gearhead sort of way, of course.

I envy you. I have two dreams for my lifetime.

1. Own a nice house with land and a three car garage
2. Build a 70/71 Cuda/Challenger 440/Hemi reproduction from scratch

Waaaaaaaay back when...1988. I owned a 74 Challenger. Nothing special. Tor-Red color. Black vinyl top. 318 2-bbl, Slapstick Auto.

Unfortunately, it was an East-Coast Car. I.E. winters had taken their toll. Car was a rustbucket with a $150 Maaco paintjob. Looked great from 50 feet away, but the paint just covered the 33-rpm record-sized patches of rust.

Someday.....

Congrats on finding your Torino.

From the pic it looks like the back end is goobered up, or is it just an odd angle on the pic?

amazing that the engine has a fram filter on it. Me personally, i'd go for a napa/wix.

Good luck on the restore.

Your better off building 70/71 Cuda Convertible 440 Six-pack because they are very very rare compared to the Hemi equipped vehicle.

Thanks and yes the rear quarters are rusted. I planning on replacing both rear quarter panels, inner trunk sheet metal and the rear wheel wells.

It does have a Fram filter anymore. ;)

Thanks everyone for the well wishes and I will post more pictures as the car progresses. Right now I am a week behind schedule on the Charger due to another vehicle failure.
