10,000+ on the old Benz Wagon, manual states every 7500 or 10000 on dino oil.
It's all "dino" oil, all made at the same refineries with the same basic feedstock; unless you are talking about vegatable oil.
Oil can last a long time if it isn't contaminated with spent fuel from the engines combustion cycle. That and moisture are the primary components for lubricant failure.
If you really want to know the exact interval to change your oil, get a sample tested every week for moisture, acidity, etc.. 3000 miles is a very conservative interval that works well for engines far beyond their prime.
It's not dino oil if it's synthetic.
I agree with the rest of your statements though. 🙂

All I'm saying is that synthetic oil is created from the very same crude oil that "dino" oil is refined from. It's just a tailored molecular chain versus naturally occurring chains from the refining process.

Never went over 3000 on the Shelby, not that I beat on it, I just like fresh oil lubricating my turbo 🙂
Real nice. I'm sure you told the guy who's post you are responding to, that you always jump to conclusions, too.Quote

Real nice. I'm sure you told the guy you were selling it to that it got regular oil changes every 5000 on the dime, too.
