My Rabbit got flooded in last year's hurricanes. I don't have time/money to fix, but know someone that's willing to give me $1K for it when they have the money. They're not married w/ children so I have faith they have time/resources to get it back up to snuff.
My '74 Campmobile died, so it's going on eBay tonight.
I'm driving a company car to and from work, but that doesn't give me much freedom. My wife has the only family owned running transportation. An '03 Jetta that we're NOT upside down in (thank GOD!)
So I'm looking at some cheap transportation. My wife won't let me get a motorcycle. I'll probably only hang onto it for a year before getting something I really want.
I can get a Hyundai with a 10/100K warranty for less than something used (that's worth a crap.. and then used only has a 60 day/1000 mile warranty.) About $11K.
I've never leased before. Do I sound like a candidate for lease? The car's not going to be worth squat in a year, so I don't think I want to finance it... or do I?
