Right you are, Demon-Xanth

Lot of guys I used to run around with always had the same problem, one transmissions, one clutch, one brakes, one tires (rear of course) and so on.

Any mechanical device will eventually fail or wear out but always the same one with certain people??

Glad you got my point. I have raced almost every car Ive owned, modified some but mostly stock, kept most for 4-5 years and rarely bought new.

Maybe common sense is worth something.

For instance I have had 2 f-body Trans Ams, one for 9 years and one for 2. If I go to any of the F-body sites I hear common troubles that I have never had. I enjoy driving my cars, sometimes hard but I dont deliberately abuse them or have unreal expectations of what they can do. Drag a 'Vette? Some. Drag a Viper? Only to see him go.

Funny, I go through tires unusually fast...

I DO have this problem of when I get on the gas let out the clutch fast my truck makes alot of noise and smoke comes out of the rear... 🙂

My tire wear is self induced, so I don't really call that a problem. It WOULD be a problem if they had unusual wear patterns, but they wear exactly as I'd expect.

My truck's pretty good, I can out run a Viper (off road) with ease, and I can out tow a Kenworth (when both of our gas tanks are filled with gasoline). You can beat anyone (given the right terms) 🙂
