Avoid the Dodge at all costs, I see a lot of Dodge products in my shop with failures in the following areas ;

Crankshaft pulley failure

Wiper problems (wipers failing to operate and/or wipers turning on by themselves)

Water leaks

4 wheel drive actuators (this problem also is seen on GM products, especially the vacuum actuated systems)

Ignition switch failures

Clutch failures

Thank god almighty you did list a Ford product in your poll 😛

Edit: Where the fvck is my coffee?

if you get the Durango have the ball joints checked by a trusted mechanic, Chrysler in their infinite wisdom decided to start using plastic instead of metal, they wear out quicker and can give out without notice.

the jimmy has some better options in it (i drive one) but it will be slightly more costly than the blazer. they are identicle. but i just like the jimmy as there as less ppl with it.

also they changed body styles slightly in 97 - 98 year models

Well after putting it off for a while and paying off several bills, it is time again to pick up a new automobile. I'm pretty sure that I am going to go with a Durango. 🙂

Just need to find a decent one in the area.

Just got back from a dealership here in town. Found a 01 Durango with 40k miles on it for a great price. Just waiting to hear back on financing. 😛

Can't speak for the quality of it, but the old style Durango is pretty nice looking for the most part. They really fuct up the new style.
