Hi all,

This is my second YACT in the last few days, and I wanted to thank everyone who offered advice in the last thread especially Rossman who even gave me a phone call with some good advice. I'll be putting a thread later on with all his advice and my experience of buying a new car which will hopefully help others here.

Anyway, after using Rossman's tips and the advice from the last thread I've been quoted a price of $16250 for a new Civic EX 4DR with Automatic Transmission. It's several hunder below invoice and I believe it's a good price but wanted your opinions.

Thanks!

In CA? Yeah.

Now, my two Canadian cents.

Colour choice. Black, mag, or blue. Anything else sucks. :p

If you can shift yourself and get the MT, I'd go with that.

If you've got patience, wait for the 06 model to be unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show (Feb 12th) and see the huge changes.

Other than that, welcome to the Civic Nation. No ricing allowed. ;)

I'd really go for a stick. The auto is pretty lethargic in a Civic. Don't let the VTEC engine of the EX blind you;)

M4H is Canadian? He just lost all my respect. :p

I'd say that's a decent price, but only a couple hundred off the invoice isn't much. You could probably talk your way down at least a thousand. Seriously, if you know how to work these guys, you can get some nice deals.

And how did Rossman just randomly call you? Or did you give him the number?

Is that with or without the sideairbags? With as many SUVs (and other high bumpered cars) running around, sideair bags would be nice. Too bad honda [still] makes you pay extra for them. They are going to start making them standard soon.

I'd got for the blue.

There are new base Camrys in that price range...albeit with no alloys/glass roof thing/cd changer etc. but IMO is a much better vehicle.

I know the base Camry is in that price range, but I don't like Camrys as much and I want all the nifty options :)

The magnesium is an awesome color. If they were offering that in 2002, I definitely would have got it.
