hell I know a few Miatas around here that can run into the 10s.. Monster Miata with a older 5.0 Ford motor shoved in it...

Yet - every TRUE car enthusiast in the world loves it because it's one of the best handling cars in the world.

Never said it didn't handle well, i'm just saying it's a chick car and has always been considered one. We aren't talking about performance here.

I rented one when I wrecked my car. It was actually a pretty nice car (the old one) with lots of go. It reminded me of an insurance or a real estate agents car though.
