Final update:

Got the

Borbet type E

Wheels from tirerack.com

1 local place wanted $600 installed for similar rims other places didn't have rims for my bolt pattern. Tirerack rules.

Update 2: I've been looking around and a few places say i use 15X6.5, 15X6 wheels and others say 15X7. Which is right? The markings on my current tires are 195/60 R15

I just wheels that fit my tires!

At the tire rack they have

http://www.tirerack.com/upgrade_garage/WheelSearch.jsp?&autoMake=Volvo&autoModel=760+Sedan&autoYear=1988

I'm thinking about getting the Borbet wheel. Is Borbet a good brand? what about AT Italia?

Anyone know where they sell cheaper wheels?

And should I buy the wheel locks?

UPDATE: The guy at the tire place said that my rims are bent. I need to buy atleast 2, but I'll just replace all 4. Anyone know where I can buy rims online? I use my tires are size 15.

My car shakes a little sometimes when I drive under 20 mph and sometimes when I apply the brakes at 20 mph of less.

My cousin said to check the tires for thread seperation. How do I do that? Am I looking for a big gap in the thread? I have Michelin tires that are 1.5 years old with maybe 8k miles of driving around town. Could it be anything else?

Thanks in advance

It could be a problem with your brakes. If your rotors are warped or if there is some deposit on your rotors, your steering wheel will shake a little bit when braking.

Could be one plug missing at low RPM under load. Do you mean 'shake' like it's doing a hoola dance? That could easily be a belt shift in the tire, but I thought Michelins were immune to that.

First, can you tell if it's in the front of the car or the rear? Secondly, does it only happen when appling the brakes?

Shakes and shimmies can be just about anything from unballenced tires, Bad bearings, bent rims, cracked rims, out of round roters, and maybe yes a bad belt on a tire.

Usualy, if at all possible, rotate the tires and see if you can tell a difference in where you feel the shake. IE: Drive the car, rotate the tires, front to back. If it changes, then to narrow it down, rotate them from right to left. Sometimes, you can narrow it down to the tire giving you problems, and if you can, then have that tire checked out for belt seperation or bent rim. Bring the tire to a pro shop with the rim on the tire.

If it doesn't change, then most likely, it's something other then the tire and something on the car.

Good luck...

Make, model, and year would help. Mine did this, but it was an electrical problem particular to certain makes and models.

88 volvo 760. I have 80,300 miles on it.

I can't really tell which tire it is coming from because it feels like it is coming from all over.

I shakes when I am doing 15 around town, at first I thought it was just the road, but then it kept doing it on smooth roads.

It happens when I am accelerating, not accelerating, and when breaking all at low speeds of under 20mph. When I go at 20 mph or greater I don't have the problems.

It's a belt shift. This will only cost you the proration for a single tire. You probably hit a monster chuck hole or something. Take it to whoever installed the tires and tell them to handle it.

The opposite happens with my car! The damn thing shakes like Mr. Parkinson himself whenever I go over 20 MPH!

Of course, it IS a Saturn . . .

What does prorotation mean?

http://www.tirerack.com

They have some nice rims, but they come to $500 shipped and then I have to pay for a balance and install.

I'm going to see what the prices at a local guy first, maybe they have a free install and balance.

IIRC, the 6, 6.5, 7 is how wide the rim is.

The Borbet's are nice rims. Made in Germany. My friend has them on his Pulsar. Personally I like the 10 spokes that are suppose to be on the car.

Your marking of 195/60r15 shows that it should fix the 6 or 6.5. The number 195 is the widest measure. mine 205 fix a 6.5 nicely so 195 should fix both.

The tirerack's 15X7 rims recommends tires with my markings. so does that mean my tires will fit the entire range from 15X 6 to 7?

Yep. Typically a tire will fit about 1" range of widths or so.
