I found it next to my car and it had the mercedes emblem (2001 e320) on it so I got a little nervous and picked it up. Any ideas on what it is?

Oh and I'll admit my stupidity and guilt and say that I'm nervous because that day I accidentaly went over one of those long, ~6inch(maybe) high rectangular rounded edged concrete(i think) blocks that goes in front of parking spaces. It was just the front left wheel and then I realized oh sh!t and went back.

**and yes I know i'm a bad photographer but help anyways please. thx.

ok well do you know what I'm talking about? like those long cylindrical blocks that is at the end of parking spaces? It was standard size. Probably about the height of a curb

Thats off the rocker. Better get that replaced, or in the long run it could rust. Having that problem right now... Opps sorry didnt see that your a car noob 😱 Thats off the bottom of the car.

It looks like the bottom half of an isolator bushing that are sometimes used on core supports, subframes, and frames themselves. That one looks small so it might be from the bottom of the core support area which would make sense if you pulled over a parking barrier. A quick look under your car on both sides should yield the answer you are looking for.

EDIT: Someone else said it was off the rocker so it might be one of those one way drains that allows water out but not in or simply a plug. I really cannot get an idea of size from your pictures.

can you describe the weight of it/how mushy it is/ and whats it made of? if its a heavy mushy rubber it could be a bumpstop.

It feels pretty solid, like not really 'mushy' at all. The bottom part may even be plastic?

Is there a part number anywhere on it? Find a part no, and then try looking it up on a Mercedes parts website. The description that comes back (if the website finds it) may yield some clues as to what it is.

My first thought was bumpstop as well, but it looks too small to be that...plus bumpstops don't usually feel hard and plasticy on the bottom.

I would say some kind of bumpstop as well. Have you crawled underneath your car to examine? Check both sides and see if you see something different. That's the best advice I can give you without a part number.

I guess I'll be spending some quality time under my car for the first time then. Please continue the suggestions

edit: oh and once I do see a hole...then what? I still won't know what it is (see the part where I say I'm a major car noob)

It's a merced benz jack point, it's on the side skirts underside near the wheel well. Either front or back..

mods plz dont kill me
