YACT: I think it's time for new shocks

I'm not a gearhead, so bear with me here.

'95 Mustang w/136k miles. I noticed the other day that the right rear was sitting somewhat lower than the left, and its hard to get over speed bumps sometimes without some scraping. I'm guessing new shocks are in order, as I'm pretty sure they've never been replaced (bought the car used several years ago @ approx. 40k miles.)

I really don't know how much I ought to be paying for this sort of thing. I'm not looking for any kind of high performance suspension here. Just want to get it back up to snuff. Anyone have any thoughts?

Easy test: Push down firmly on the corner of the car. Does the car bounce up and down repeatedly before stopping? If it does, time for new shocks. With a good shock the car should come back up, then down, then back up to ride height.

If its sitting low you may have a broken spring.

Cheap shocks can be had for like $40 each.

Assuming I have a broken spring (certainly possible) what kind of cost am I looking at? I would imagine both rears would have to be replaced at the same time?
