outside couple screwes that didn't survive and a heatshield that didn't wan't to move, i got it out. Some of the bolts were a major pita though

Slow here too. And I'm on 7 Mbit cable I regularly hit the max on.

Look closer, the cement block is in front of an actual jack stand and they are using jack stands on both sides.

yeah,
thats not gonna be anywhere near as bad. I spent good 2-3hrs fvcking around couple bolts that didn't wanna move. I have craftsman jackstands, the blocks are there there just in case something bad happens.

its hot out... so yeah just sandals.
No link to the original problem - my a4 lost the second gear, so i got a new tranny for it.
