For my next car here is my list
1. Comfortable ( I spend way to many hours driving to not be comfortable in my car)
2. mpg
3. reliability
4. Trunk space

My current vehicle pretty much is great at 3 outta the 4....wish it got better gas mileage though (1997 buick century) it's not aweful though

It all comes down to what you want though.....

I hear you - I'v got basically the same requirements from a car - so I bought a 1997 Loaded Town Car.

3 of those 4, definately, and I can get 26 mpg on the highway if I cruise around 75.

my 2000 volvo s40 gets 24ish city and 29ish highway... and i drive at about 73 on the highway.

it's got a better crash test rating than a p.o.s. corolla... more trunk space... and it's much more comfortable.

volvos are pretty much the safest cars on the road.

Take out lots of loans, and then get a lease on a lexus.

It's the smartest thing to do financially.

for 8k you could get like a 97' es300 with less mileage. they are comfortable cars and are very reliable.

I was going to suggest this as well. According to these ratings, the ES is pretty much as solid as cars get.
