i got a scuby!

it needs a little work, but has a really clean body. gotta diagnose a really slow oil leak around the passenger side head, possibly replace the washer fluid pump, and get new tires.

88k on the clock, got it for 4900 from a stealership. same place originally sold the car and took it in on a trade for a new impreza.

initial impressions: i like it. it is also a lot lower to the ground than i expected.

edit

pic from the ad i bought it from and the exterior is as clean as it looks in the picture. the interior on the other hand has a few cigarette burns :/

I put over 200,000 miles on a 1990 Legacy Wagon. It was one of the most trouble free cars I have ever owned. The one truly annoying thing about it was the stupidly designed cup holder. When in use it blocked access to the radio and other center console controls. It was almost as if someone looked at the final design and said "Hey we forgot the cup holders" and stuck them in the first place they could find to squeeze them in.

Nice car. That was the last year the 2.2l engine was in the Legacy. With the 97 EJ22 engine if you break a timing belt your engine will be all fux0rd up (same with all the newer Subaru engines) Previous EJ22s had no real damage when a timing belt wore out. Make sure you get that replaced ASAP if it hasn't been replaced yet.

Lots of cars from foreign markets are like that, because that is exactly what happened. Germans, for example, never understood the need of cupholders, but they take driving a lot more seriously.

..looks good. change all the fluids and hoses for peace of mind.

Nice, we have a 1997 Lsi with 99,000 on it. It's a great car and we haven't had any problems with it in the 10 years we've owned it.

Good Choice
