I use mobil 7500 and change it at 6000 miles

You need to add 7500 and 10K to your poll. heck mobil1's new oil is said to be good for 1 year or 15K now

we did our last oil change at about 3500 miles and 5 months, but we know we need to do it more frequently.

i just refill the exact amount that leaks out once a week after 8-9 weeks complete oil change

6,000,000 mile intervals seems... excessively long.

My last one was at 7,000 miles. Lost less than a half quart in that time frame, too.

who the heck changes every 1K-2K miles? i do every 3K just cause when i bought my truck it came with free oil changes every 3months or 3K miles for 36 months/36000 miles

Cool I was just wondering becuase the last time I took it in, they didn't put a sticker in the windshield.

I checked the oil yesterday (yes I know what to look for)
and it's clean. So I was just curious.

I try to do it every 3k or so , not to exceed 5k . When to oil darkens from honey colored to brown,I change it and the filter .

I would have to agree. 6,000,000 mile intervals do seem excessively long.

I use Amsoil synthetic.

Change every 3-4k miles despite the 7500k mile rating based on advice from certain professionals

My Civic manual states the normal person should do it every 10,000 miles. Then it trys to fool you into thinking you aren't normal (like all manuals that I've seen). The severe condition recommendation is 5000 miles. I do it every 5,000 miles myself just to baby it. Plus that is nearly a years worth of driving, and I don't want 1 year old oil in my car.
