My manual for my new 4Runner says 5,000 miles for severe and 7,500 miles for highway. I do mostly short 3-5 mile runs in it.

I was raised on every 3,000 miles, so I expect to get my oil changed between 3 and 5 thousand miles.

Audi says that I only need to change the oil in my A4 every 10,000 miles. It's their car, so who am I to argue with them! :)

Odd considence, though, as I just got a letter asking me to schedule my first service appointment today.

they are getting a little carried away with the intervals.

chrysler schedule A (light driving habits that no person in the world actually qualifies for)
says 15000 for the new cummins diesel.

3k but only because 1 is turbo charged and both are driven 80% of the time less than 3 or 4 miles back and forth to work. Actually its probably sooner than that because I never bother to write down my mileage for the last oil change and forget when I did it :).

3000 miles on my Buick as it gets Reg. Mobil 10W30,

But if I use Mobil1 then I would go 5000miles.

Just replaced my filter at 10,000 miles....sent in a sample to get it analyzed....A-Okay...ready for another 10K miles before changing the oil out.

I change mile every 20K miles or 12 months usually...and I tow every other weekend.

I run full synthetic...

The new Ford diesels say every 12 months or 25K miles on their diesels......but there is something like 22-25 quarts of oil.

3000 miles usually. But if life is hectic and I'm busy, sometimes I let it go up to about 4500 Miles.
I figure that even at 4500 miles between changes it's OK, since nothing but synthetic has ever touched my engine since I bought the car brand new.

5 years and 125,000 miles from now, other parts of my car might be falling apart. But with synthetic oil and regular changes, I'd bet on the engine being in excellent shape.

Yeah..somewhere between 3 and 5k. Putting Mobil1 synthetic in this time..hopefully synthetic on my 125k+ mile engine will be alright..I suppose I'll find out. :p

Is that the same Audi that claims their timing belts last 90,000 miles?
