YACT: How much to replace 3 motormounts...

My ford focus has 3 motor mounts broken.. needs to be replaced.. the guy is saying 400 bucks + tax.

Not sure how much are the parts. The vibrations are killing me!

probably about $45-$50 a piece. Have to lift the motor to get old ones out and dnew ones in.

well there are 3.. from ford.. its about 180 bucks for just parts..

yeah this is going to be a pricey fix.. 400 bucks! damn.. just when i thought i was within budget this sem.

You should be able to replace them yourself..
hardest one is going to be the one on the bottom..

use your Tire jack to llift the engine to get to the mount..
Replace one at a time..it makes it easier..

Save some money, go buy a cheap jack($30 tops) and if you need tools rent them from autozone or schucks or w/e. Motor mounts arent that difficult to replace. Just some bolts.

My corolla has $50 mostly but one cost almost $200. Labor is $200 for 2 mounts or $300 for all 4 mounts at the local Chinese/Vietnamese garage.

yeah, you should be able to do it yourself, it's fairly simple i'm told.. heh. my rear mount is $70 (non-stock, performance one) as a reference (mazda3).
