Local Chevy dealer quoted me $1k. I know that's high because... they're a dealership. I would like to know what parts should cost, and how tough it would be to do this myself. Does anyone know?

I'd fvcking go postal if I had a 5 year old car that needed that

I almost drove my mustang through the dealer's front window when they told me they wanted to charge me to NOT do RECALL work on my EBRAKE and then tried to ask me if I wanted a new mustang :| :| :| :| :| :| :| :| :| :| :|

The cost of the rack is a few hundred. I'm not sure what all is involved with replacement in your car though.

Yes. The leak is apparently fairly small, but according to the idiot at the dealership, it will only get worse. I fully understand that I can just put power steering fluid in for quite some time, but I'd like to know how much it would cost for parts so I can see if it's worth the hassle to just replace it.

Yeah, this is the latest in a long line of issues with this car.

PEOPLE, NEVER EVER EVER EVER BUY A GM CAR!!!!

My low coolant light is stuck on all the time, my gas guage only slightly works (gives AT BEST A ballpark figure of where the gas is), my window motor is out, etc., etc.... I hate this car. No more domestic cars for me.

Reputable?!?! BWAAAAHAHAHAHAH!!! I don't think there's a single reputable shop in the entire Kansas City Metro area, or any big city for that matter.

This is how you fix that.

    1. Get in there and clog up the leak. Use anything. Calk, a peice of gum, glue, anything.
    2. And then sell it to some unsuspecting moron.
    3. And then buy a Japanese car.
    4. Profit!
