not sure how it happened, went in to buy groceries and came out and there was a fine string of gum all along the side of my truck. i was able to get the gum itself off just fine, but now there is this sticky residue left on the paint. i don't have gu-b-gone around, is there something else that i can use to get it off without harming the finish?

note: i've tried hot water and soap, all it does is smear the sticky junk around :(

WD40... if you don't have that around, you're not a real man...
also if that doesn't work..try peanut butter.. that gets gum out of hair

A claybar from a claybar detailing kit would do it as well.

Mother's make a good kit.
