YACT: Honda Accord window problems

I have a 96 Honda Accord 4dr and the driver's side window barely moves. I went to eBay and looked up "Honda Accord Window Motor" and got back results for window motor regulators. WTH is a motor regulator and why do I need one? Isn't there just a little electric motor and a track and lift system?

Before condemning the window motor or regulator I would clean and lubricated the window channels first. Often the channel can get debris stuck in it causing the window to bind and produce the symptom you are describing.

To clean the channel roll the window completely down and suing compressed air blow out the channel. The take some silicone based lubricate and coat the inside of the channel. Work the window up and down a few times and see if it is still binding.

Thanks, I'll try that first and see if it helps.

You can also pull off the door panel and lube the moving parts in there. But, you probably need a new window motor. The motor and the window lift assembly together = window regulator
