YACT: hit and run ... slowly?

Sigh...
I get to work and about 5 minutes later the sales people tell me someone has hit my car. I'm thinking BS, they are just messing with me. I wish. I go out and start checking my car, all the while this grey 4runner is leaving the parking lot slowly. I keep on checking, more coworkers walk out and then i finally see the damage. 4Runner guy leaves. It isn't huge damage but it's a sharp crease in my bumper, cracked paint, and some serious scratches so far. I still need to see if the bumper pushed into my rear quarter fenders, check the foam underneath, and inspect my tail lights. The guy reversed into my car. Most people would probably be ... oh well ... but I've spent so far nearly an additional 8,000$ in my car so i'm not normal. They got his license plate so i'm planning on going to the police station sunday and to the DMV to send him a certified letter on Monday. Anything else you peoples would reccomend (besides seeing a psychiatrist)?

and it's a health club that i work at so i'm going to check the parking lot periodically to see if he's working out.

Call the cops NOW. They're open 24 hours, and they'll have a better chance of getting a hit and run suspect if you call them ASAP. I hate it when people wait to call the cops over something like this. It takes 10 minutes, and it gives you peace of mind.

Yeah, I called the cops and they said since it was on private property that I should go into the police station and file a report.
