I have a 1999 Mazda Protege SE, Standard w/ a 1.6L engine. Today, the engine started sounding weird. Whenever the transmission is engaged, it sounds like I have a performance exaust on my car. When the clutch is disengaged, it sounds and revs fine. What is wrong with my new car?!?
 
You all SUCK. Took it into the Mazda shop. Found out my front exhaust pipe blew a nut.

$605 w/ labour after tax 🙁
