Helm, hands down, they are cheap too, only $150 to $300.

$150-$300!!??!?:Q

The Chilton's for my car was only $16, sure it may not be as complete, but honestly, unless you're a professional mechanic or something $150-$300 is waaaay too much for a service manual.

Buy 'em both. . . Or buy the Helms.
I'd get them both.

I wouldn't say that one is better than the other... You'll find that one will be lacking in a particular area, and the other will be lacking in another area.

Yes, the factory manual (and Helms) is much better, but probably not worth the cost, unless you can find one used.

The factory service manual for a 2001 Frontier goes for $340. 5 volumes. It'll pay for itself in the long run. BTW, never heard of a Helm's manual. I think this is something I need to look into. How about a little more info.

That's why you get them on ebay. I've gotten 3 different ones for about $50 each. They're worth their weight in gold, no doubt about it.

BTW, Helms is the company you buy the manuals from for a lot of manufacturers. For example, if you walk into a Honda dealer as inquire about purchasing a factory service manual, they give you Helm's phone number.
