YACT: Got another new car :D

http://www.melvinchu.com/Accord/DadsCar/

Well technically my dad did. His is the blue, mine is the gray. Same price but the dealer threw in mudguards, a trunk tray, locking lugnuts, and a sun visor for free. Same 1.9% APR financing, same loan amount, so our payments are identical.

He test drove the competition (Camry and Altima) and said there was no competition whatsoever. I wholeheartedly agree.

Honda fanboism at it's finest, ladies, nefs, and gents. 🙂

no mazda 6 or galant consideration either?

For my dad - no. Mitsu sucks from our one experience with it. My dad is 56 - he has no use for a 6. The 6 intrigued me before I bought my Accord but it was never a viable option to me.

And yes, my digicam blows pyonir 😛

EDIT - go fvck yourself, something you're probably great at doing.

wasn't the digicam Raging...if you are going to take pics of a new car, you should probably BACK IT OUT so we can actually SEE THE CAR.

😀😛

We've had the wheels on our '89 Toyota pickup stolen before, and they're steelies!

Anyhow, nice car. Get that dealer logo badge off the trunk tho! God those look soooooo tacky!!

wow isn't your family sooooo special!

Man, what's with all the thread crappers. :|

anyways, that's just like my car, down to the trim and color. 😛 You might want to take off the mudguards, I have read reports those scratch the paint.

The CD changer is in and I ordered the DC sport header this weekend, I will go pick it up tomorrow. 😀 My car is becoming a money pit. :\

It's my dad's car - I don't think he minds the mudguards. Yea I heard about the paint too. What'd they say about your changer? Oh yea - lmk how that header works for ya 🙂

They said they will replace it if I want, I am not sure if it is worth the trouble or not though. It's not really that big a deal, just annoying. Thanks for your help.

I got the stainless steel header, I have a friend who works at a tuner shop who got me the price of $330 flat. Hondata also released the heatgasket for the i4 accord, I think i will get that also, it is only like $50.

Sweet.....no problem. How'd the install of the changer go? That Crutchfield guide kinda sucks on the part where you take off the vent covers - it's much easier sticking a screwdriver into the emergency flasher holes, popping that, then taking a chisel and just popping the entire front edge up and off.

Oh yea - how's the TL bar working for ya? Any pitfalls so far? I heard right now it's on national backorder, yikes!

what's with that 'thing' where your licence plate should go and why is the licence plate in the back window and why is there a texas sticker on the back trunk lid and

The install was fairly easy for me, but I have torn up the interior on other cars before. The CD changer is quite nice, I think it is more powerful than the stock single CD player. It pounds now when I play "saltshaker". 😀 I kind of wanted to get a sub, but this upgrade erases that urge. I pulled off the cover the crotchfield way, it left small marks on the side of soft rubber so I will have to massage that out sometime.

The TL bar is fantastic, I went on a mountain drive this weekend and the composure is great now. The car should have came from the factory that way, the SUV rolling over feeling is gone in hard cornering. I do have an issue where the bar touches the rubber exhaust hanger holder, but it doesn't appear to be a problem. When these are readily available again, I recommend this mod.
