Just found this 2000 Impreza turbo wagon. It's got all the toys plus a sunroof and leather interior. It'll be good for 0-60 in around 5.9 seconds. Nice!

It's an approved used car at a Subaru dealer too so comes with a 12 month warranty.

GF8 yum yum yum

I always loved that look, ver v/vi bumper with the vents. Too bad I crashed my car before I got around to it.

Hmmm, it seems that if you hit the quick reply button instead of the link back to Off Topic then it will post a blank post. Sorry.

They want £12000. That at the current £-$ exchange rate would seem insane for most of you but it's a good deal for a yr 2000 car that has only done 32000 miles.

And leather in these is like finding hens teeth.

Sweet! 2.2L or 2.5L?

And how come the UK gets all the cool Scoobies that we don't? :(

That is insane. That's almost $22,000 US dollars. You could get a new WRX for that in the US (if you haggle the right deal).

Hell, my GF is trying to work a deal right now to buy an '01 2.5RS coupe (USDM is non-turbo, NA) with low miles for about $12k US.

Looks nice. I've never been partial to the discrace of the current gen of imprezas in terms of their front lights. I always loved the turn of the century imprezzas, and this one has the power to back it up (which the north american ones never did, topping out at 165).

It's the 2.0 charged to arounf 215-220hp. The 2.2 is only available here as an SVA jap import, the 22b.

The 2.5 we only get in N/A form in the Legacy.

If you want to feel officially left out by Subaru, look up the P1. It's a UK only STi based car. Came with 280hp out of the factory and custom UK centric suspension geometry, ECU maps and exhaust set up.:p

Yeah. It seems odd but only when you convert. You have to consider that my £ is worth the same as it ever was. And with all this kit the car was prolly around £24k when new.

Ah, comparable to a GDA WRX wagon, but in cool GC8 guise. Nice.

And yeah, those P1's are beautiful.

How is the environment in the UK for reckless driving? In Nova Scotia, Canada, it was great. Very few cops. You could speed almost without a care, but in Birmingham, AL I'm scared because there are cops all OVER the freaking place.

Well, you have to play safe at all times :wink;. The speed camera's are all over the place here, so you need to know your favourite roads. That or get one of the many GPS based radar devices like Geodessy or Road Angel. We need those as the new digital SPECS based camera's work out your speed over a qtr mile, not just the camera's focus point :|.

Oh, and I bought the car BTW! I got a load liner, ordered the body side mouldings to stop shopping cart damage, got them to pop a CD player in, mats, tank of fuel and 6 months road TAX. All free of charge. I only got a little off the sticker price, but with the extra gear I call it a deal!

Oh yeah, it also has a Performance back box, so sounds nice and 'thrummy' like the WRC cars .

(OK, so it's pretty big bore, but this AINT rice!)

Hey, I was looking at the roof racks and noticed that they were raised ones, like the Legacies and GG. Is that standard for you guys? Ours look more like rails.

Nice car, and great price :D

Whereabouts in London are you?

Garry

Fusetalk doesn't have 'Sandhurst, Berkshire' so London was selected!

Mind if I add you to my list of UK ATers in case a meetup ever gets arranged??

I'm in Loughton, Essex, just inside the M25, near Enfield :)
