Yeah, all you guys hatin' because of my banged up door can quit. I'm taking my car to the bodyshop today. Should be in 7-10 days at a price of $1300. Fun!

Here's the sad part. I'm actually nervous about leaving my car there:eek: I mean, I'll pull everything out of it but I worry that one of those guys will pop the hood and subsequently a big grin. I should have taken it in before I swapped the motor. Oh well. I'll probably disconnect some sensors so it'll throw a CEL and run in limp-mode:D That'll make me feel better anyway.

But really, should I really worry about it? Yes, I'm already expecting the responses of "its a 14 year old Accord". But even so, its definitely not your average Accord. BTW, I put the steelies on already:D

Woah, Intake/Header/Exhaust mods on a early 90's Accord with a (I'm guessing B16 or H22) swap? Never saw one of those before.

edit for sarcasm:

Since you asked, just my opinion tho:
The bumper covers are unpainted yet the car has rims, doesn't look ricey but cheap
"Carbon Fiber" Gauge cluster, really necessary for a 4dr family car
Clear corners/lenses are just played out, not to mention they don't look like they fit right
Razo clamp on pedals?

Other than the engine swap, it looks like you went wild at a Pepboys with $150 finding things to put on your car

Not trying to rag on your car Nutbucket, but he asked :p

MUCH credit to you for not going for a giant muffler can/tip

The bumpers aren't painted because, suprise, they came from the factory that way;) The corners are crappy. I actually put the OEM ones back on since the rubber has gone to sh!t.

BTW, suspension has been fully upgraded as well. Though, I need to look into replacing the bushings soon, probably the ball joints as well.

I'm sure the body shop guys wouldn't be able to tell that it's an H22 in there. Even if they did, they would probably be better off just stealing an 88 Prelude Si. You should paint the entire car (including bumpers) black. That would slick. And red out the tails.

It looks like a standard 4 cylinder tiny honda engine. The way you were describing it, I'd have though I'd see something like This under the hood.

Guys don't be stupid, Hondas get stolen all the time for their motors. Chop shops/thiefs snag H22's, B16's and B18's all the time, it's something to be concerned about.

Don't get me the wrong way man, we all like our cars in their own right, but there are a lot of better ways to use $1300 than to repair body damage to an old, ricy, family car. Sell the Honda, and use the profit and the $1300 to buy a car that has some semblance of balls, or at least won't get you laughed it if you're so concerned about image.

He did that swap himself IIRC... which is a PITA... I would be very sentimental about my car if i did something like that... :)

I worked in several shops and let me tell you, anything a kid drives no one that is in the business wants. What's attractive to you is what the guys at the shop laugh at when you're not around. Trust me on that one.

I don't think you can sum it up much better than that....

I expected to see a nice, cool car, instead I see "91 Accord"....

Listen I'm not saying your car is a POS or anything but your talking about a 13 year old FAMILY CAR.
EVEN with the engine swap, your riding around on 13 year old suspension technology and a body/chassis thats had 13 years of expansion, contraction, bumps and rattles.

I'm sorry but I don't go around parading my 2000 Maxima as a sporty car. is it fun to drive? Yes, peppy? Very.
But seriously ITS A 4DOOR SEDAN!!!!

Get over it.
