so i guess I vote for the TL...

heh, make sure you read the manual. There's lots of goodies that you'll never figure out on you own.

that and get a bluetooth cell phone.

I'm starting to lean towards the TL. A friend of mine is an auto mechanic and a general car freak, and he advised me to get the TL.

I'd go with the G35.

Why?

Because I don't really like the TL. However, of all the new Acuras, I like the styling of the TL the most.

I've had personal experience with the G35 coupe. My dad has one and I drive it occasionally. I like it, it's fun to drive. He regrets getting the coupe, he doesn't have enough room for anything in it, but he still loves it. But you won't have that problem, since you're looking at the sedan.

I do like the body of the G35 sedan though. I didn't like it at first, but after looking at it enough, I've come to like it.

Just my opinion.

It's either a G35 Sedan AWD or a TL.

Both are great cars. If snow is a problem, then consider the AWD G35 over the TL.

IF you want performance, then G35.

If you just want a great car to cruise in, then TL.

Both are excellent cars and depending on your preferences one would make you happier than the other.

If you're serious than I'd recommend you rent a G35 from Hertz for a few days (yes Hertz does rent them.) I had one for a week and overall was not impressed with the car. It's wickedly fast but feels large and heavy when it comes to cornering (and the ride is kinda harsh.) Overall the car just didn't do much for me. RWD is nice but only makes a difference is hard cornering which we don't have much of in the US. Haven't driven the TL but I now own an Accord.

If you want the best driver's car for the money than look at a pre-owned BMW 330.

you have got to be kidding me.

a pre owned 330 (around 20K miles) will cost the same as a new g35 and a g35 will spank it around.

need to do that...

already programmed the homelink for the garage door opener, stored about 10 numbers on the handfree link for my bluetooth phone, set the doors to lock when I shift from park, set the drive door to unlock when I shift into park, turn the head lights off after 30 sec and interior lights off after 20 secs, programmed the seats/mirrors to the remote...

this car rocks!!!

anyone know of any good XM radio deals...wonder if that one for the $60 for year is still going on...

ive got an 05 g35 coupe. the new interior is a lot better. the mp3 player is pretty nice too, and well the brushed aluminum stuff, adds a bit to it. i still wouldnt say its quite as good as the TL, but its a lot better than the old one.

the wood on the g35 looks horrible though. get it with aluminum trim, wood just doesnt go with the car. looks wise i think its a wash. theres something good looks wise on both the TL and g35 sedan. depends if you are into angular or curvy.

also a friend ofmine has an 04 sedan, with every option. the interior outside of the console (which is new in 05 anyway) is nice. the nav is decent, its nice how its pop up, but the lack of touch screen kinda sucks. they made the screen .5" bigger for 05 too. the reclining rear seats are pretty cool in my opinion. i guess tahts the one thing on the interior a g35 sedan can have that a TL doesnt (well and the mp3 player in th 05 sedan)

navigation on acura vs infiniti i'd say leans towards acura. my dad's mdx has a much more user friendly touch screen navi. honda nav is better than infiniti nav. infiniti gives you the birds eye view though which is kinda useful.

another thing about acura though is i am not sure they give loaner cars. at least my dad never gets them. so be aware of that, infiniti will give you a car if service is over 4 hours or something.

i guess the main issue, now though, is if you are willing to trade interior for performance and handling. i just know every time i kick the tail out on my coupe (which obviously you can do on a g35 sedan) well it leaves me smiling and you cant do that on a TL.

i say you test drive the TL first before you make a decision. if you drive it hard, and care that it doesnt drive as well well then i bet you go g35.
