I notice that when I turn my car off, I can still hear the fuel pump running. It will run anywhere from 2-3 seconds to 10 seconds before it shuts off. Is this the fuel pump relay? If so, how much should I expect to pay and have it fixed?

Hey thanks.

Mechanic = $$$$$ and tend to replace things that don't need replaced until the problem is found
ATOT with some pretty knowledgable car people = free

A lot of vehicles keep the fuel line pressurized by leaving the fuel pump running.
Typically, the pump will run for a few seconds until the pressure limit is reached, and then it should stop. As long as your not seeing a leak or smelling gas, then you're proabbly fine.
If your leaking gas or smelling it (or if you ehar the pump constantly whining) then I'd say you have a problem.

There is no leaking or gas smell. But I don't remember it always doing this.

When you say constantly whining, you mean if it doesn't turn off at all? It always turns off, but like I said, anywhere between 2-10 seconds after I turn the engine off.
