YACT: friday night ended so badly (has anyone ever used that dent remover on tv?)

i was coming home from a bar, was one of the designated drivers, and was really tired..parked in a really small parking garage, and when backing up i hit a pole, not hard, i was going maybe 2 MPH, but the sound echoed and sounded like a huge crash...the thing was i had gone there with a friend and met about 8 people that night who were all standing in the garage...DOH!...

there is a small scratch on the car and a tiny dent, but not much...

i am not looking forward to seeing the people again...argh, they are gonna rag on me so much

anyways, the part of the car right above the bumper at the wheel well got pushed in a little...not much but noticable and i saw that dent remover thing at CVS for $20...anyone know if it works?

It's worth a try. Traditional dent pullers that I've used requires you to actually drill a hole in the metal to pull it out. The problem with this method is that it often will leave a wrinkle in the metal. I'm sure this newer "as seen of TV" model might do the same, but if you can at least reduce how obvious it is, it's probably worth $20. Check with your car dealership for touch up paint to get rid of that nasty scratch too. (usually about $6-8)

Probably not even worht your money. Doing it youself, if you have access to a bodyshop will mean a couple hours, at minmum, and having a bodyshop do it will be about 200 bucks.

I think I read that the dent puller is more likely to pullitself off the dent than to actually fix it.

They don't show on TV very clearly but it uses a hot glue gun to afix the center part to the dent.

Those glue sticks are good, but, I don't think they bond well enough to actually fix the problem. But, for $20 it is tempting...
